UUCB Church Rental

UUCB has several rooms for rent, from large to small, formal to informal. By providing attractive and reasonably priced space, we can help make your event a success. We have rooms suitable for receptions and parties, weddings, memorial services, bar mitzvahs, concerts, meetings, workshops and classes.

UUCB is conveniently located in Boulder, accessible from many major roads. The church sits on a spacious lot in a quiet residential neighborhood. Many of our renters comment on the building’s welcoming, “homey” feel.

For your rental we can provide, at no additional charge, 16 eight-foot banquet tables, 3 six- foot banquet tables, 40 metal folding chairs and 80 padded stacking chairs. The church has two pianos that may be rented, along with the rooms in which they are located. Read more information about renting our pianos.

The rooms available for rent are described below and depicted on the church layout drawing. In addition to the rooms described you can rent our Kitchen and Playground. General contract provisions and rates are listed in our sample church rental contract. The contract is customized to the needs of each specific renter.

Important Note: When contacting our office about a rental reservation, please give us as much information as possible when you inquire so that we can advise you quickly. Please include the following in your email or phone message:
- your name
- your organization (if applicable)
- a phone number where we can reach you (please speak slowly and clearly here)
- the kind of event (wedding, memorial service, workshop, meeting, etc.)
- the number of people attending
- the date of your event, and any possible alternate dates
- the start and end times of your event
- the specific room you are interested in, if you know
- will you will need to use our kitchen for food preparation or serving?
- will you need to use a piano or sound system?

Sky Room – Bright and open, this tiled room is perfect for a reception, workshop, or yoga class. With direct access to the kitchen and an upright piano, the room makes hosting a dinner party a breeze. Can easily accommodate 80 people for a sit-down dinner, 100 people for a meeting setup, or up to 150 for a reception. 3,800 square feet in an octagon-shape. The rental rate is $55/hour during the week and $70/hour on weekends.

Earth Room – This warm and welcoming room is our sanctuary. The front half of the room has V-shaped pews, with the back of the room open for extra seating or other activities. The room is carpeted throughout. With a beautiful stained glass feature, sound system, superb acoustics, and our prized Steinway Grand piano, this room is great for concerts, presentations, and special ceremonies like weddings, bat mitzvahs, and memorial services. This room can accommodate approximately 200 people. 3,400 square feet in a hexagon shape; skylights have shutters to adjust for the brightness desired in the room. The rental rate is $55/hour during the week and $70/hour on weekends.

Emerson Adult meeting Room – An attractive large meeting room with an outdoor view that can accommodate 30-40 people. The room can be set up with chairs only or with rectangular tables and chairs. Recently remodeled the room has new carpeting, light fixtures and a fresh coat of paint. The rate is $30/hr during the week and $35/hr on the weekends.

Multipupose Room (Classroom 2) – A minimally furnished room that is ideal for a small meeting, class, or workshop. It can accommodate 12-16 at two rectangular tables or be set up for 16-20 with chairs arranged in rows or a large circle. The rental rate is $17/hour during the week (available only after 5:00 p.m. Monday-Friday) and $22/hour on weekends.

Multipupose Room (Classroom 3) – An unfurnished room that is ideal for a small meeting, class, or workshop. It can accommodate 12-16 at two rectangular tables or it can be set up for 16-20 with chairs arranged in rows or a large circle. The rental rate is $17/hour during the week (available only after 5 p.m. Monday-Friday) and $22/hour on weekends.

Conference Room (Classroom 7) – This pleasant room features a conference table, 12 chairs, a couch, and a white board, making it perfect for a meeting with up to 15 attendees. With sliding glass doors leading directly to the parking lot, this room is bright and easily accessible. The rental rate is $20/hour during the week (available only after 5 p.m. Monday-Friday) and $25/hour on weekends.

Listening Room – A cozy small meeting room that can accommodate 6-8 people. The room is furnished with a two person couch, two easy chairs and two light weight padded chairs with arms. Extra chairs are available. It is perfect for a discussion group or informal meeting. The rental rate is $15/hr weekdays and $17/hr weekends.
